Gilded words

Let the world be rubber  And you be the glue I'll bounce off others and stick to you Catch you when you fall Pick you up again in the winter Even tend to your nasty splinters I'll be the one that gathers your rosebuds in spring And be your cooling shade in the summer. And when  Sticks and stones (Against you) Will crack and splinter, And words for your beauty will never leave me  Remember ravishing is what you are, As I am ravenous  (How do I know)  Because it takes poetry To know poetry And that is just what you are. Poetry in motion 🖤 ~ Oskar Roux @WizardOfOz013 on twitter @Ozymandias13 on instagram

First Short story

This is the first short story I have written. It may seem a little cliche in its content but I believe it is good. Please have a read and feel free to comment below! I hope you enjoy it. https://1drv.ms/b/s!Aidr1QSfX3WwnT74XZvrNfAoR7Bx Kind Regards Oskar Roux

Rainy Daze

If a rainy day was every day Then every day would be mine. If every day, was a rainy day By me, that would be just fine. But if a rainy day was every day. Would it still be special to me? Or if every day was a rainy day Would that dampen the joy for me? ~ Oskar Roux @Ozman_13 on twitter @Ozymandias13 on instagram

Floating

As we float completely inept of our bodies and consciousness we find a different, altered state of being, more pure, true, and free. . . . Free of judgement, free of harm.   Our souls at ease because of inebriation. Fear of hurt fear of pain, .yet, that all seems meaningless and quite mortal. For now, we feel free, immortal and unchained from despair, from life, from disappointment and also disappointing, the ones we love, the ones we hate and even the ones we’re still meant to love and those who love us. For this universe is vast. Greater than we could ever imagine. For the love we have, have lost and are still to gain is minuscule in comparison to the history and future of our civilisation and what we stand for. According to Darwin, we aren’t meant to live yet according to Aristotle and Kant too we are a species bread to survive. To help one another for the greater good and also to help one another for ourselves…. With pardon of course. For what’s right to some is f...

I, Captive

To captivate someone the way  You do Is an art form many never learn to master. With eyes deeper than the Marianas trench  Your being Just draws me like a moth to a flame. To make someone feel the way  You do me Makes me wonder how many ages you've experienced. A soul so ablaze no person would know you and not be warm. The strength of nations upon nations To carry the weight of the world And grow. The confidence and grace that You move With, can't even be challenged by Aphrodite herself. With cheeks if crimson and eyes of ice Your joy Makes the rest of life seem baron. Leaving me  wanting Craving Thirsty Starved And lucky To know a woman of your sheer  Prowess. ~ Oskar Roux @Ozman_13 on twitter @Ozymandias13 on instagram

Plans from society

The idea of a perfect plan for life is one that’s floored in every material in every way. It begins much like a seed. In good soil with good intentions and seemingly the right influence. Sun for photosynthesis, nutrients to supply the food for growth and water. Enough water to rehydrate invigorate but also it can drown. The water you see isn’t merely water it’s the plausibility and possibility we strive for and see in our faces every day. “Be who you want to be”, “The sky is the limit” “the only thing holding you back is your imagination”. But what if that isn’t it. What if being who we want to be gets put down, changed and made to be realistic. Like a child following the instructions on their Lego instructions: they put M8 on T3 and piece that together with pieces 5, 6, 7 & 8 etc. until their puzzle is complete. Complete to resemble the same thing that the other kids build, or the same one that their parents before them built. Built to last, built to fit, built ...

The Black (w)hole

The Black (w)hole There's that thing that lingers In every one of us. Staying just out of sight, But not out of mind. One  Black (w)hole. Two halves of a whole. Two holes that see desire. Two pieces to the puzzle, Two mysteries to decode and Two logs to the fire. Two constellations that congregate Two great stars that pulse and burn. Two great ebbs and flows of time and space Two tiny wrinkles on eternity's face. Like the earth around the sun I revolve around thee. But like our universe in the grandeur We're ineffective in the scheme. Yet the only universe in which we can cause some revolution. Is the vault deep within our minds of which silence is noise pollution. And the worst enemy is time. A black whole Three times bigger than one would like to admit. Two halves of the whole of our mind, which in turn is a bottomless pit. And One the life we live in this revolving bundle of mass and gas. So use it to your fullest potential And be about your wit. ...

RING. a modern day in the life of teaching (roughly)

RING The day slowly grinds to a start. As the wild and studious students awake from their social slumber and deliriously make their presence known in classes. They shift along like a hoard of zombies. Just slightly livelier than zombies though for they talk and text, but they still, figuratively, want your brains! They saunter inside, take their positions and then much like an unenthusiastic orchestra, they sit when acknowledged. I stand, as the silence roars, I can begin my teaching. Moving and weaving like a liquid through a maze (amazing), finding my way to the centre, their brains. Accessing and pinpointing their storage cabinets, trying to cram them full of my knowledge, passing it on, and paying it forward. Unlocking their potential. Some of the hoards participate and thrive, while the others barely seem to be alive. They stare and grunt while the other push and shunt. Trying to be the first in line, to ask and query they’re questions and solve their complex answers. ...
